Hey readers! Let’s talk music! I’ve got another song that’s played a lot on road trips with my mom, a super happy song to make you smile. It’s by Corrine Bailey Rae. She’s got such a beautiful voice and style. It’s very powerful and her runs are breathtaking! She’s just a beautiful person, inside and out. Her music always brings me happiness, especially on hard days, and that’s part of what makes it great music. I put on her songs, and life is good again. This song is called “Put your records on”. It’s absolutely a feel good song. One that I would particularly recommend for girls, but really it just depends on your taste. Corrine sings about how life is too short to stress all the time, and it’s not worth it. How things come and go, but it’s all for the better. The chorus is my anthem on bad days, I sing it and do it until I feel better; “Girl put your records on, tell me your favorite song, you go ahead let your hair down. Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get you’re dreams, just go ahead and let your hair down!” I love these lyrics because it really does help to put on your favorite music, let out your stress, and just exist for a while. We can get so distracted with the changes in life and we forget that change is inevitable, and it’s okay. People are not always going to be respectful or nice. Sometimes they can be really horrible, and they get you down. But a bad day doesn’t mean it’s a bad life, you just have to unwind a little bit. It’s no good to stress about life, because it won’t change anything, except for your sanity. The only thing you accomplish while stressing is being able to say “Wow I’m so glad I worried about that for days even though it changed absolutely nothing. Yay.“ I feel like there are better things to have as accomplishments. Live in the moment when it comes, put your records on, and be stress free. Thanks for reading, loves! God bless:)
