Hey readers, let’s talk music. There are all kinds of relationships to sing about. Some are off and on, good, casual, just the usual. But there is one thing that makes the best relationship and it is by far the best reason to sing, and just to live. And it’s love. The kind of love that you can see when two people look at each other and sparks go off as their eyes meet as if they’re watching fireworks on the 4th of July. The kind of love that you read about in books. Some songs are able to describe the beautiful depths of two souls becoming one. It’s hard to cover all the incredible parts of love in one song, but some artists manage to pull it off. It’s the kind of song that brings out your smile, gives you the sensation of that first sip of hot cider on the fall. The kind of song that completely washes over you, pulling you in. Music like that is the kind of music you want to turn all the way up, and embrace lyric by lyric. Music is one if the best ways to express how you feel when you can’t even really comprehend it yourself. You can love anybody, but being in love with someone, it’s something so much deeper and realer.
Sam Smith is 100% one of my favorite singers. Every one of his songs are so passionate and worthy. He has such a talent for singing and song writing. Every word that he sings feels like the first day of summer. Freedom, fresh air, unimaginable warmth. His music gives you this indescribable sensation with every song that he produces. He’s got one song that feels like oxygen to suffocating lungs. The way it’s written, his voice, the lyrics, they all come together and make magic. His songs sound like they’re that of a fairy tale. This song is called Fire on fire. It’s absolutely phenomenal and leaves a beautiful effect on you. In this song Sam Smith declares how strong his love is for his significant other. It’s truly amazing how you can feel the depth of a relationship just by listening to some lyrics. He has a way of really emphasizing the most important parts of the song too.
My favorite lyrics in the song are “They say that we’re out of control they say that we’re sinners, but dint let the, ruin our beautiful rhythm. ‘Cuz when you unfold me, and tell me you love me and look in my eyes, you are perfection my only direction, it’s fire on fire.” I mean woah even writing them out gives me chills. So much good energy in this song it’s insane. There’s so much to take from these words. They’re so honest, so inspirational. That’s the kind of love everybody‘s looking for. Sam Smith doesn’t hold back in this song, he gives his all in an effort to tell us how in love he is. This song is so important because these days, true, loyal, love is extremely hard to find. Many people stop believing in lobe due to unfortunate events in their past. But giving up love is giving up hope, giving up pure sanity. For those who’ve been hurt by love, don’t hear this song and be envious but be hopeful. Life is all about choice, you choose to be sad or you choose to be happy. And this song is so positive that after hearing it you couldn’t possibly choose sad. It’s nearly inevitable to love this song.
Music is always changing. In some ways it’s not for good, but other ways it’s miraculously improving. Certain artists have an undeniable flare and a Sam Smith is definitely one of them.
