Hey loves! Let's talk music! So, today I'm writing about another masterpiece by miss Lauryn Hill. She seriously is such an inspiration to me. I look up to her in so many ways. She's a fighter, a lover, and has a very admirable relationship with god. I often think about what it would be like to meet her, and be able to talk with her about life, music, and god. I absolutely love her voice. It's calming when you need to relax, fun when you're trying to have a good time. It's whatever you need it to be, and that's amazing. I believe Lauryn Hill is a woman with a lot of wisdom, and I appreciate that she decides to share it with us through her music. Her songs are all unique and very passionate. I do and will always whole-heartedly believe that The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill is the best album on the face of this earth.

Ex Factor is our topic for today, along with how phenomenal Lauryn Hill is, of course. Ex Factor is such an important song. I think it has a great meaning, one that a lot of people can relate to. Lauryn sings about her a relationship at that time. It was definitely unhealthy, she found herself trapped because she loved him. But people need to understand that sometimes the people you love most are the people who deserve the least of your attention, the least of your time. Unfortunately, sometimes it hurts less to leave someone than to love them, and this was one of those times. Being in the relationship was hard, but she didn't want to go, even though she knew it was what she needed. Lauryn sings about how dysfunctional the relationship is and really opens up about how much she was hurt in the relationship.

Of course, Lauryn being a queen, she realized her worth. She finally realized that she'd given up way too much for way too little, as we so often do. As I mentioned before, miss Hill is a fighter. A pusher. No, it wasn't easy accepting that something had to change and doing something about it. Ending the relationship wasn't simple, but she still did it, and you can too. The best decisions are most times the hardest ones to make. This song sends such an important message to every listener. Sadly, her situation isn't uncommon. It happens a lot more than we know. People need to know Lauryn did it, she got out of it, and there's a chance for them too. One of my favorite things that Lauryn Hill has said in her music is; "Lauryn is only human, don't think we haven't been through the same predicament." This quote is actually from Doo Wop, but still, a clear message in each song. Fame and money doesn't make her situation any different from yours. Keep you heads up guys. God bless, thanks for reading:)
