Hey readers, let's talk music! Today's song is about the beauty of finding yourself, in yourself. Not in a boyfriend/girlfriend or someone else. A lot of people think that the person they love is their other half, but no one is a half. We are all whole people. And we have to learn to love ourselves without being told why we should by another person. It's never smart to rely completely on another person. We have to be able to love ourselves no matter who else loves us, because others aren't always going to. Self love is so important. However, there is a thin line between confidence and arrogance and we have to be careful to not to cross it.
Today's song is called "Confidently lost" by Sabrina Claudio. Gosh, I'm not even sure where to start with this song. Well, let's start with her voice. Her tone is angelic, seriously she has one of the most beautiful voices that I've ever heard. Right from the start, the song gets your attention, it kind of catches you off guard, but definitely in a good way. I first heard it a couple of months ago, and instantly i loved how confident she was. How sure of herself she was, it was something that I desired. I could tell that she really loved herself, and she didn't need a man or a woman to do so, and I respect that. The very first verse is my favorite. She sings softly at first but gets slightly louder the further in, as if to emphasize that she is a strong individual. The lyrics are; "I'm alone but I'm not lonely. I'm comfortably indulging, trying to get to know me. I'm just an outline of what I used to be, I'm constantly evolving, steadily revolving."
I love that she owned all of her changes. What she's been through, what she looks like, who she is now. She recognizes that not all changes are bad. She's growing, and getting stronger, better. Sabrina is turning into a beautiful person. Self love is a very clear message in this song, and an important one too. I feel so confident about myself when listening to this song and sing along with it. It's good to have some songs to keep you going, especially in a world full of people who are trying to bring you down, and this is one of mine. Thanks for reading guys, God bless!
